Proud enough to put his family name to all of his work Payne Electrical Services (PES) was established in 2007 by Thomas Payne (BEng). Based in Urmston, Manchester PES goal is to provide a safe working, recreational and living environment for all its customers. To educate the public about the regulations and dangers surrounding electricity and how they can maintain a more secure and safer environment.

After leaving school in 2003 Thomas carried out a 3.5-year apprenticeship with 2 separate electrical contractors. He completed his City & Guilds NVQ level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology, BS7671 (latest edition of the wiring regulations), 2391 (Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations) 2377 (PAT testing) and shortly after set up PES. The company has since worked as Electrical Contractors in all areas of the Electrical trade.

Our work portfolio covers a large number of clients including members of the public, several estate agents and letting agencies, a number of construction firms, property maintenance companies and other electrical contractors.

Payne Electrical Services recognises the importance of Continuing Professional Development to ensure all its employees maintain a relevant and current understanding of the latest wiring regulations. Thomas achieved a distinction in a HNC and HND in Electrical Engineering before graduating as a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from the Open University in 2019.

We are Part P registered Electricians, registered with Napit meaning all our work is conducted to the current BS7671 wiring regulations and have we public liability up to the value of £2,000,000.
